DIY ideas for the hardware section!

Want to make bronze? Easy, if you have a crucible or something that can handle the heat! Grab something made of copper, like pipe bits and another item with tin, like pewterware! Be careful, but use 3 quarters copper with one quarter tin- get it to mix, and you’ll have bronze! Well, not exactly bronze. Try experimenting!

Repurpose some old scrap to make cool scifi or cosplay props like they did in Star Wars, or 2001: a space odyssey! Use metal hoses for interesting “greebling” on a suit of armor, or the focal point of a helmet with a respirator! Be safe when choosing your parts, though- most of what we sell is safe to touch, but not with prolonged contact! Try doing some research before you accidentally slap a galvanized pipe on a helmet and get lead poisoning, alright?

Have fun! Here’s some inspiring examples from the net.

DIY ideas for glassware and shades!

Love the glass, but just can’t think of a way to use it? Try turning it into a flower by stacking, painting and gluing them together! Or if you’ve got the tools and skills, CAREFULLY try heating, cutting and bending the glass into flowers!

See any of those wavy, elegant glass lamp shades? You know, they kinda remind me of a beautiful dress! Will you be the first to make a sculpture out of one?

If you only have the skill to paste paper onto something, try making your own globe of a custom planet! Get some paper, some modge podge and one of these spherical lamp shades, cut it into pieces and paste those on! Have fun drawing up your own model of the world, or something completely original!

Note: the below was done with foam… be a trendsetter and use glass! Put it on a light for a fun space themed centerpiece!

Finally, why not try turning them into some garden decor! Get creative! Flip one over for a new Pot, hang one up for a wonderful hanging planter, or whatever your heart desires?
